The past decade has seen tremendous growth and innovation in the use of digital resources, methods, tools history art architecture. While is less developed than text-based disciplines, emergence new standards for visual spatial data, advances computer vision are poised to revolutionize field. This article provides a survey recent developments from perspective European North American publications conferences. I discuss digitization visual, spatial, textual resources by museums, research centers, individual researchers. Researchers have variety digitally analyzing architecture, which can replicate or challenge traditional methods formal, iconographic, socio-historical analysis. Trends published indicate uneven theoretical sophistication scholarship. quickly moving into training professionals students, communities institutes, universities remain somewhat fragmented. conclude with reflection on critiques history, several not been fully addressed
